Christmas in Tibet!? Hell, Yes!
We’ve had a number of requests for a trip to Tibet & Everest in the winter! So, here it is and it’s cheap! Because we’d be going during the off-season, flights are half priced and we’re offering a steep discount of 2000 + RMB.
Let’s go visit mighty Mt. Everest, visit a Tibetan home and chat over a tea, check out the highlights of Tibet, including the glorious Potala Palace in Lhasa, breathtaking lakes, amazing monasteries, vast grasslands, a Tibetan children’s art school (provided the authorities allow entry), a glacier, and much, much more!!! Forget the conventional, resold tour that everyone else offers. Do Tibet + Mt. Everest the Travelers Society way.
*Note: We stay in 4-star hotels in Tibet. While many other trips will book 2 & 3-star hotels to lower the cost, we find that there is a huge difference in cleanliness and comfort.

Do I need a multiple entry visa to go to Tibet?
Nope! You technically will not be leaving China to go Tibet. All you need is a Chinese Visa (Residence permit, tourist visa, spousal visa, etc.) and the proper documentation, which will be outlined in detail upon registration. We will take care of the rest.
Please note that you cannot travel to Tibet if you are in China on a transit visa.
How do I prepare for the altitude?
We will recommend altitude medication to take starting 2 weeks prior to the trip and precautions to take while in Tibet. Exercise prior to the trip is also recommended.
I am renewing my visa/passport, can I still go?
If entire renewal process is complete ~30 days (if less, please contact us directly) prior to departure (when we apply for the permit), there is no issue. Once we apply for the permit, you must wait until after the trip to change visas/passports.
Please contact us with the details if you intend or in the process of renewing so that we can help you arrange for the permit in good time.
Is it too cold to visit Tibet in the winter?
It does get cold in Tibet, but it’s doable. You just need a good coat and to dress in layers. If you have thermal underwear that will also help. It can go below 0 at night but during the day it can warm up quite a bit with the strong sun (~8C).
This is it… Your opportunity to take a trip of a lifetime!!!
