Do I need a multiple entry visa to go to Tibet?
Nope! You technically will not be leaving China to to go Tibet. All you need is a Chinese Visa (Residence permit, tourist visa, spousal visa, etc.) and the proper documentation, which will be outlined in detail upon registration. We will take care of the rest.
Please note that you cannot travel to Tibet if you are in China on a transit visa.
How do I prepare for the altitude?
We will recommend altitude medication to take starting 2 weeks prior to the trip and precautions to take while in Tibet. Exercise prior to the trip is also recommended.
I am renewing my visa/passport, can I still go?
If entire renewal process is complete ~30 days (if less, please contact us directly) prior to departure (when we apply for the permit), there is no issue. Once we apply for the permit, you must wait until after the trip to change visas/passports.
Please contact us with the details if you intend or in the process of renewing so that we can help you arrange for the permit in good time.
Note: Due to the harsh winter in Tibet, overnight stays at Everest Base Camp are not available until May. If you are traveling before May, you will stay at a monastery nearby.
This is it… Your opportunity to take a trip of a lifetime!!!
