This weekend is all about nature, rappelling down a stunning waterfall, partying in an awesome natural pool, swimming, chilling around a bonfire, exploring one of the biggest Buddhist monasteries in China, wrapping dumplings, and more!!!
18:30 – Meet at Hongkou Stadium (Metro Lines 8 and 3) Exit 3, outside – follow the music!
23.:30 – Arrival and check into our local guesthouse
07:30 – Simple Western breakfast
09:00 – Head over to our awesome waterfall and prepare for the rappel
10:00 – Waterfall rappelling time!!!
12:00 – Picnic and natural swimming pool party
13:00 – Continue rappelling!!
16:00 – Return to our guesthouse
17:30 – Make our own dumplings
18:30 – Sunset BBQ and eat the dumplings we made
19:00 – Bonfire party with great music and drinks
07:30 – Simple Western breakfast
08:30 – Set off to a huge 1300 year old Buddhist monastery
09:00 – Reach the monastery and stroll through unrestored parts of the monastery, and if we are lucky, chat with the monks!
12:00 – Local specialty lunch
13:30 – Hop on the bus and chillax on our way back home
18:30 – Arrive in Shanghai

Not Included – 2 nights – Clean double occupancy rooms for 120 RMB per person per night. These will be booked on a first come first served basis. If you wish to room alone,the single occupancy fee is an extra 120 RMB per person per night. Please note that single occupancy availability may be limited. Basic Travel Gear – PASSPORT/ID CARD, camera/GoPro, sunscreen, small day pack, towel, socks, walking shoes, and your favorite food for our picnic
Note: If your passport is in the visa office for processing, please bring the slip of paper given to you by the authorities along with a copy of your passport with you on the trip. This paper can be used for domestic travel instead of a passport.
If the traveler decides to cancel, s/he can get refund of the deposit (a small cancellation fee may apply) up to July 17 and no refund after that. What is the minimum age for this trip? Can kids join?
9+ depending on the fitness level of the child. Safety is our priority, so if you would like to bring your kids along, but are unsure if the trip is suitable for them, please let us know! 🙂
